In addition to transportation expenses, the policy also covers necessary medical consultancy and ambulance transportation. - Companion’s Expenses Guarantee
If a companion accompanies the patient when coming to Turkey, the accommodation and transportation expenses of the companion are also included in the guarantee. - Accommodation Guarantee
In case of a complication after surgery, the patient’s accommodation expenses (excluding hospital stay) are included in the coverage, within the policy limits.
In addition to the guarantees mentioned above, the insurance company also covers the patient’s legal protection if required. Should the patient need legal consultancy during their stay in Turkey, the costs will be covered under the policy.
Similarly, if the patient’s passport is lost or stolen, passport renewal and the preparation of required documents are also included in the coverage.
The Health Tourism Insurance Policy for limb lengthening patients is priced at $500.
The exemptions and maximum limits of the limb lengthening insurance are presented in detail in the table below.
According to the insurance policy, the patient covers expenses up to the exemption limit, and any amount exceeding this limit is covered by the insurance company.
For example, let’s assume you experienced a complication after returning to your country, but your local doctors could not treat it, and you had to come back to Turkey for treatment. If your 1-week accommodation cost was 1200 TL, which is below the exemption limit when converted, then the patient would be responsible for covering this expense.
However, if the expenses fell between the exemption and the maximum limit, the first 200 Euros would be paid by the patient, and the remaining amount would be covered by the insurance company.
